Pray to Spay, Uber to Neuter!

Have you ever thought why should we be removing our dogs reproductive organs? Chances are no, but everyone who has owned a dog finds themselves googling why my dog urinating everywhere? Why is my dog behaving so irrationally? Why is my dog so aggressive to go outside?

You get the picture, as dogs grow up, they go through biological changes that affect their hormones and behaviors. A first time dog owner might be surprised to find their dog

going through these experiences, however, through spaying/neutering, the majority of problems dogs go through can be fixed.

What is Spaying/Neutering?

Depending on the sex of your dog, it's a different procedure for the dog. Generally it is described a surgical procedure in which a professional removes the primary sex organs, being ovaries (for females) and testes (for males).

How will spaying/neutering help my dog?

  • Chance to Increase life span

  • Reduce risk of developing cancers

  • Improves behavior

  • Decreases abnormal urination tendencies

  • Improves overall health

At what age should my dog become spayed/neutered?

The best age to go your dog spayed/neutered is at the 6 month mark as this is when the reproductive organs are fully developed and are getting ready for reproduction. It's also around the time dogs will go into heat in which many abnormal behaviors can occur.

Spaying or neutering your dog comes with many benefits and as a responsible dog owner, it is your job to make sure they are at the best state of health they can be, Not only are you thinking about your dog specifically but by doing this procedure, you are helping fight the increasing population of stray dogs that eventually remain in shelters for months, unwanted and forgotten
